Frequently Asked Questions (Wedding Photography) Q. If we book a wedding package, how long will the photographer be at the event? A. The photographer will remain at the venue until the Bride & Groom decide that we have covered every aspect & they have all the photographs they need. Q. Do you have any safeguards in place regarding photographer’s attendance? A. Yes, as soon as a booking is confirmed, 1 of the remaining 3 photographers in our group of 4, is nominated as a substitute for that particular date & venue. Q. Are you insured at all? A. Yes, we have suitable Public Liability Insurance to protect our clients against injury whilst we are covering the event. Q. Would you want to visit the place we are planning to get married? A. Yes, we would very much welcome a site visit, this reassures the client, venue’s hosts & ourselves which areas are available to take photographs. Q. How many pictures will you take? A. Depending upon the package selected & the Bride wanting photographs prior to leaving her home, any studio shots of invitations, gifts etc, it averages out at 250 to 550, these will be individually edited to ensure the very best are select to be included in the Contact Book.Our most recent clients will receive, 380 Colour, 40 Black & White, 5 Selective Colour & 3 Cropped Images, Any of the colour shots can be turned to B/W, S/C, or cropped at no extra charge to the client. Q: We are interested in having a slide show during the wedding day (at the sit down meal) of the photographs taken; can you do this for us? A: We do not cater for slides shows at the actual event for the following reasons: A1: When we are not taking photographs (wedding breakfast) we are, as a safeguard downloading previously taken images onto a lap top computer, checking equipment & setting up for the next step in the photographic running order. A2: We would expect to have taken in excess of 300 raw images by the time everyone is ready to eat, to edit and run a slide show programme would run into the after dinner speeches, cutting of the wedding cake, presentations,etc. A3: Some venues offer this service, those that do not would have to allow extra time for all guests to complete their meal, speeches and other announcements, which normally incurs an extra cost of the venue booking. A4: Lastly, we believe that if any fatal error is going to take place, then it will be from constantly formatting (deleting),changing & handling memory cards from cameras to lap top computers, it is our aim to remove all potential errors in protecting material in a digital format. Q. How do we go about having photos of cutting the cake, as we intend to do this after the package chosen had ended and the photographer has left? A. In every package, we take the Bride & Groom to one side, away from all the guests and have them pose in a mock “Cutting of the Cake” No matter at what stage of the event you choose to actually cut the cake we will have photographed it earlier. Q. How long will it be before we can see the photos? A. We aim to provide a complete Contact Book of all the edited photographs 2 weeks after the ceremony; this coincides with the end of the Honeymoon Period. Q. Which 1 of the 6 Weddings Albums you have in stock may we choose? And how are they completed? A. Clients may choose Any Album to be included in Any Package, they are completed with the selection from a Contact Book we provide from the photographs taken. We use Genuine Epson Colour & Black Inks & Genuine Epson Photo Paper in Gloss,Semi-Gloss or Matte. Q. What size of photos may we have in the album? A. We normally work to A4 & A5 sizes; we can print square images to fill the complete page if requested. We would suggest that clients consider having different size images throughout the Album which looks more pleasing to the viewer. And that the opening page is left free so we are able to provide a decorative sheet in an attractive size & font which details the Bride’s & Groom’s names, Date, Venue Etc Q. Shopping around we came across a Husband & Wife team who insisted that they be included in the sit down meal, what is your opinion on this? A. That request is totally unprofessional & an insult to a client. If we are honoured to provide a service, it is fulfilled with honesty & respect at all times. As professionals we would be checking on equipment, locations, down loading images, & talking to the staff about the photographic running order & time scales involved Q. How will the photographer be dressed? A. When we meet clients for an informal no obligation meeting, we generally wear smart polo shirts which include our company name. On the day of the Wedding, we wear clean, pressed suits, polished shoes, and we are clean shaven with groomed hair. Q. What do we get for our money? A. For each and every package a client will receive each of the following: Dedicated Photographer for the whole event with no time limitations, Completed Contact Book of all the edited images taken at the event, Wedding Album from a choice of 6 in stock, Photographs & Info Sheet to complete your album, Compact Disc of Low Resolution album shots for E-mailing, DVD set to your music choice of all the album shots, Bottle of MOET Champagne 750 ml for packages 1 & 2, Or 1500ml (magnum) for package 3, Studio time for gifts, invitations, and keepsake shots, normally 2 hours. Q. Can you recommend any wedding florists in the area? A. We have a very good relationship with Personal Flowers of Crewe,who are a fully experienced family run business; they are totally professional and will work tirelessly to provide you with exactly what you wish for your big day. We would arrange a non obligation meeting at your convenience; we are able to travel or accommodate to present you our Wedding Portfolio which includes: Mounted Images in Colour, Black & White, Selective Colour; this is so you have a feel of the type & quality of the photography available. Our brochure which outlines each package in detail, our services are totally flexible to tailor to your exact needs. Our selection of 6 Wedding Albums we hold in stock. Examples of a Wedding Compact Disc & Musical Wedding DVD. And finally you will be presented with our business card which will include details of our services and contact numbers, this would end the presentation. We always allow clients time to consider what we have to offer & what is best for them. It is up to them to contact us after the meeting to confirm they wish to book our services; we will not contact them unless asked to do so. Q. When do we have to pay you? A. Following contact from a client who wishes to book our Wedding Services, It would be at that time we would respectfully request a 25% Booking Fee of the Total Package Price which would be welcome at least 4 Months Prior to the planned Wedding Day with the remaining balance due at least 4 Weeks before the planned Wedding Day Q. Would we have our pics on your web site after we are married? A. The choice is yours, we ask all our clients for written permission (model & client release form) to use any images solely for the purpose of which they were taken. We use such images to promote ourselves by using them on our web site & in our portfolios, advertisements & flyers. ..........................................................................................................
